US-Iran War Live Updates: Trump says Iran seeks talks, declares ceasefire is over

US-Iran War Live Updates: US-Iran tensions rise as explosions hit Iran. Israel suggests Arab states involved, US denies. Iran’s IRGC claims strikes on US bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan.

US-Iran War Live Updates: Iran’s military tensions with Gulf Arab states have sharpened this week as explosions across the country fuelled competing claims over who is responsible for a fresh wave of strikes. Israeli public broadcaster Kan reported that recent attacks on Iran were carried out by one or possibly more Arab countries, without identifying them, even as the US said it was not behind the latest strikes, Axios reported.

No government reportedly linked to the attacks has issued official confirmation, leaving confusion over the strikes’ origin amid heightened regional tensions.

The uncertainty comes against a backdrop of direct Iranian retaliation against Gulf states hosting US forces.

Iran’s IRGC said it struck US bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, including Camp Arifjan, Ali Al Salem Air Base, and the US Fifth Fleet’s area in Bahrain, in what it called the first phase of its response to renewed US strikes. In a second phase, the IRGC said it fired 10 ballistic missiles at a US command centre in West Asia and Jordan’s Al-Azraq Air Base, warning that further American aggression would trigger attacks on additional regional bases. Jordan said its air defences intercepted eight of the missiles, with no casualties reported.
