The United States military has shot down four Iranian drones that were launched towards the Strait of Hormuz.
The US Central Command, CENTCOM, made this disclosure in a statement on Friday.
According to CENTCOM, the US forces struck Iranian coastal surveillance radar sites in the city of Goruk and on Qeshm Island to defend against further attacks.
DAILY POST reports that the strike is the latest incident during the ceasefire where CENTCOM has said it defended against an Iranian action and then launched strikes at Iranian targets
“The attack drones posed an immediate threat to regional maritime traffic,” CENTCOM said.
Recall that trouble started between the two countries when the United States with a joint collaboration with its ally, Israel launched an attack on Iran late February, killing its Supreme Leader and many others.
