
The twin earthquakes in Venezuela left many residents counting their losses, including an Argentine footballer, Marítimo La Guaira Lucas Trejo, who returned home to find his wife and 2 children buried in the rubbles.
Lucas Trejo, a footballer with a second division club in Venezuela, Club Sport Marítimo La Guaira in Venezuela, is yet to recover from the tragedy of last Wednesday’s twin earthquakes measuring 7.2, first occurrence, followed by 7.5 which raged seconds later.
He came back home to find his residence in debris. He commenced urgent rescue operations, digging and scattering the rubbles for about 72 hours, that is 3 days, before he could sight his wife, Yanina, and the two children, Aaron and Ainhoa. Unfortunately, the three were dead.
The government of Venezuela lamented that earthquake killed over 1,400 people, while thousands were still missing.
