Social media activist and influencer, VeryDarkMan, has responded to criticism over reports that only ₦7 million remains in his NGO’s account, insisting that the situation reflects transparency rather than wrongdoing.
Speaking on the issue, VeryDarkMan said the public scrutiny proves that his foundation operates with integrity and is open about its finances.
According to him, the NGO’s funds are currently being used to finance the construction of a school in Port Harcourt, a project he said was originally expected to be funded by Burna Boy.
He explained that he asked Burna Boy to hold off on funding the project while the NGO temporarily covered the expenses, noting that every cost is being properly documented.
VeryDarkMan added that once the school project is completed, the NGO will seek reimbursement from Burna Boy for the amount spent.
He maintained that the disclosure of the NGO’s account balance demonstrates accountability, stressing that he remains committed to transparency in managing the foundation’s finances.
