Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has reacted to a viral video allegedly showing aides of Yoruba nation agitator assaulting some Northerners after accusing them of being bandits.
In a video message, VeryDarkMan cautioned Sunday Igboho and his team to exercise restraint and carry out thorough investigations before taking action against suspected criminals.
According to him, efforts to tackle insecurity must be conducted with due diligence to avoid creating a bigger crisis while attempting to solve an existing one.
He also advised Sunday Igboho’s team to document their operations by wearing body cameras or going on missions with a cameraman to ensure transparency and provide credible evidence of their encounters.
VeryDarkMan further stated that it was no longer sufficient to simply claim that operatives had engaged in a gun battle without presenting verifiable proof, stressing that accountability would help build public trust.
