A very sad video making the rounds on X has left many Kogi people in shock.Members of the Egbe Security Squad discovered a decomposed body during a routine patrol in a forested area of Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State.
According to a local security source, the remains are believed to be that of a victim killed by armed bandits operating in the area. The condition of the body shows it had been lying in the bush for some time before it was found.
The graphic video, posted this morning by @kogi_xcommunity, shows the disturbing scene as the security team inspects the area. It has already sparked strong reactions online, with people asking how long the body had been there and why bandits are still operating freely in the community.
Residents of Egbe and surrounding areas say they are living in fear because of the rising cases of banditry in Yagba West.
So far, there is no official statement from the Kogi State Police Command or any confirmation of the victim’s identity. No one knows the name or age of the deceased. This latest discovery has left many Nigerians asking serious questions about security in Kogi State. Investigations are expected to begin as soon as possible.
