Iranian Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, says the United States has suffered very heavy blows in the crisis between the two countries.
This was contained in a statement read by an Iranian cleric to the public in the mausoleum of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the leader and founder of the Islamic Republic.
Mojtaba has not been seen in public since he was appointed supreme leader in March, succeeding his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in the opening hours of the US-Israeli war with Iran.
According to the statement, the ruling establishment in the United States has a problem with the nation’s identity, independence, and refusal to surrender.
He said the Iranian nation, with its new mission alongside the resistance front, has become a source of pride for free nations
“The US and Israel sustained heavy blows in the conflict with us. Defending the oppressed is not only an Islamic duty, but a human and Iranian one as well,” Khamenei’s message read.
