“We Will Disrupt Everywhere”- Sunday Igboho Warns Any Governor Planning To Remove Olubadan

Yoruba nation activist Sunday Igboho has issued a strong warning to any governor who attempts to remove the Olubadan of Ibadanland from the throne.

In a statement attributed to him, Igboho warned that any such move would trigger widespread disruption, adding that a state of emergency could be declared in Oyo State on the same day.

“Any governor who attempts to remove Olubadan, we will disrvpt everywhere, and they will declare a state of emergency in Oyo State that same day,” Sunday Igboho said.

His remarks highlight the sensitivity surrounding the traditional institution and the importance many people attach to the Olubadan throne in Ibadanland.

The statement is likely to draw attention to the relationship between traditional rulers, state authorities and those who consider the protection of Yoruba cultural institutions a priority.
