What Burna Boy’s Mom Said About Singer’s Arrogance as She Defends His Worth

The mother of Afrobeat superstar Burna Boy, Bose Ogulu, has addressed public perceptions of her son’s personality, particularly claims that he comes across as arrogant.

Speaking during a recent interview with media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, she was asked whether she minds that her son is often described in such a manner.

Do you mind that Burna Boy is seen as arrogant? Do you mind that you’re seen as arrogant?”, Ebuka asked.

In response, Ogulu offered a candid defence, emphasising that her son’s confidence stems from a clear understanding of his value.

He knows his worth. If that is arrogance, then it’s a good thing. Pride is what is a problem,” she said.
