The United States President, Donald Trump, has said the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner would not deter him from winning the war in Iran.
Trump made the remark while noting that the shooting is unrelated to the war in Iran.
He said this during his White House address to reporters after the horrifying security incident, noting, “It’s not going to deter me from winning the war in Iran. I am uncertain if that was involved, but our knowledge is limited. Can anyone provide any information?”
Earlier, Trump had stated that the involvement of the shooter in the Iran conflict was uncertain, and he had informed investigators that they were working to determine the identity of their perpetrator, whom a “lone wolf” had labeled.
Following almost two months of war, the US leader was unhappy with Tehran’s negotiating position and cancelled his delegation’s trip to Pakistan on Saturday.
The delegation is currently in Pakistan for peace negotiations with Iran.
