A Nigerian lady has stirred conversations on social media after sharing her thoughts on the rumours surrounding content creators Peller and Jarvis, questioning why the pair would allegedly choose to have a child before getting married at their age.
In a video circulating on X, formerly known as Twitter, the woman said that if the couple genuinely intended to break the cycle of failed marriages in their families, they should have made marriage their priority before starting a family.
She questioned the need to allegedly rush into pregnancy and then begin making wedding plans shortly afterwards.
Expressing her opinion, she said:
“Peller and Jarvis are both young. If you know you want to break the pattern of marriage in your family, why rush the pregnancy and then want to get married to her in August? Make it make sense.
“Those of you saying, ‘Why is Jarvis not proud of her pregnancy?’ Even if na me, shame go catch me. That’s why in that video she was trying her best to drag her gown so the pregnancy doesn’t show.”
The woman further argued that marrying before the baby’s arrival would not automatically prove they had broken any family pattern if the pregnancy occurred before marriage.
She also urged the couple to take a cue from singer Mr Eazi and his wife, Temi Otedola, whose relationship lasted for several years before they eventually tied the knot.
According to her:
“Why can’t you learn from Mr Eazi and Otedola’s daughter? Those guys dated for many years until they got married. Otedola’s daughter never planned on having a child for Mr Eazi.”
Her remarks have continued to attract widespread reactions online. While some users agreed with her perspective, others insisted that decisions about marriage and parenthood are personal matters that should be left to Peller and Jarvis.
