“Why people think I am Segun Ogungbe’s wife” – Actress Bose Aregbesola spills, opens up on husband’s death (Video)

Nollywood actress Bose Aregbesola has opened up about speculation surrounding her and her colleague, Segun Ogungbe.

In an interview with Biola Bayo, she noted that people still mistake her for Segun’s wife. According to her, when she goes to parties, people question her about her husband.

She believes the marital talks stem from their constant back-to-back acting roles, in which they’re often playing couples. Bose said God blessed her through Segun, and she appreciates it.

“To this day, people still think I am the wife of Segun Ogungbe. They will say Segun’s wife. I am tired of having to explain myself. When I go to parties, they still ask about him. They will say, ‘How about your husband?’ We did the work back-to-back, and played the lead. We played the role of a couple in all.

That really helped me. God blessed me through him, and I appreciate it”.

Bose spoke about her late husband, revealing that he was supportive and trusted her. She recalled an incident in which someone called him from a hidden number, claiming she was in a hotel.

Aregbesola said till her husband’s death, they were never separated despite what they faced in their marriage. She revealed that her husband died of a sickness which lasted for seven days.

“People will say your husband trusts you. One day, someone called him from a hidden number, saying I was in a hotel. A man’s trust is something that’s important. He is someone that likes our work. When I’m called for work, even if it’s midnight, he has driven me there. A lot had happened in our marriage that could have separated us. We had no problems in our marriage until he passed away. The sickness lasted for just seven days”.

Speaking on the industry, Bose said it is saturated, and if one is being seen, one should be appreciative.

“God should help us in our profession. The industry is saturated. So, appreciate it if you’re seen”.

A few years back, a man called out Bose over one of her movies. He urged anyone close to the actress to sternly warn her, stating that if he narrates his ordeal, many would chide him for insulting celebrities.

While celebrating her birthday, Bose reflected on her toughest journey, expressing gratitude to God for surviving the toughest of days and growing physically, mentally, and spiritually. The actress revealed that she doesn’t live in the past anymore, as it is gone, and that she doesn’t live in the future either, as it hasn’t come.
