A widow has taken to social media to cry out for justice after she was allegedly assaulted and had her shop vandalised by a woman who accused her of having an affair with her husband.
In a viral statement, the woman recounted her ordeal, insisting she had no connection to the man in question.
“Nigerians please help me. A woman came to my shop and accused me of dating her husband. She destroyed all the items in my shop. I am a widow, I don’t know her husband, I have never met him,” she said.
She further explained that the attacker showed her a picture of the alleged woman involved, which she claims was not her.
“She was showing me the picture of the woman that dated her husband and it wasn’t me. I tried to explain to her but she didn’t listen. She beat me and tore my clothes,” she added.
The victim also alleged that her attempt to seek help from the police was unsuccessful due to financial demands.
“I went to the police station but the money the police told me to bring before they can follow me is too much. I need justice,” she stated.
The incident has sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians condemning the alleged assault and calling for accountability.
