Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, says major road projects promised under the administration of President Bola Tinubu have now been delivered, pointing to a newly commissioned 16 kilometre road as proof of progress.

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Thursday said the promises President Bola Tinubu made to the people of the capital city regarding road infrastructure have been fulfilled.
The minister spoke during the commissioning of the Old Keffi Road, from Kado Fish Market to Deidei, an event held to mark Tinubu’s third year in office.
According to Wike, Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is giving hope to the hopeless in the capital city.
He said the road being commissioned, spanning not less than 16 kilometres, represented the fulfilment of promises made by the president to residents of the area, expressing satisfaction that the commitment had been honoured.
He recalled that during an earlier road flag-off in Gaduwa, residents had carried banners highlighting the poor state of the road, and noted that similar banners had again been brought out on this occasion.
He said Mr President has repeatedly emphasised that once he becomes aware of residents’ challenges, particularly those relating to roads that provide connectivity, including access to farms, action would be taken, recalling that he had directed the Executive Secretary of the FCDA to instruct contractor Lubriks to move immediately to the area and begin construction.
Wike said the essence of the Renewed Hope Agenda is to restore hope to those who had lost it, expressing confidence that residents of the community would never forget the president, adding that fulfilling such commitments reflects the very purpose for which the president took the oath of office.
He thanked the president for approving the construction of the road and said he had once again directed Lubriks to ensure work commences promptly.
