World Cup celebrations turned into nightmare as at least 17 football fans 'hit by car'

A car allegedly hit several people as football fans were celebrating a World Cup match victory on Wednesday night. Dozens of people had gathered in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur to celebrate Mexico’s 3-0 victory against the Czech Republic.

Initial reports indicate that a driver traveling along Lázaro Cárdenas Boulevard accelerated after encountering people on the roadway, allegedly striking and running over several individuals. At least 17 people were injured, according to official reports, the injured were taken to multiple hospitals aswell as being treated at the scene.
