The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State has unveiled a 27-member Main Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The list, released by the Yobe State APC 2027 General Elections Main Campaign Council, names Rt. Hon. Kaigama Umar as Director-General, Senator Alkali Abdulkadir Jajere as Deputy Director-General and Hon. Muhammed G. Gagiyo as Secretary.
The council comprises directorates for security, finance, special duties, programmes and organisation, local government mobilisation, logistics, planning, youth affairs, women’s affairs, entertainment and welfare, legal services, voter education, medical services, media and e-campaign.
Other key appointments include retired General Dahiru Abdulsalam, as Director of Security; Hon. Ibrahim Adamu Jajere as Director of Finance and Budget; Abdullahi Yusuf Gashua as Director of Special Duties; Dr Mustapha Abba Geidam as Director of Programmes and Organisation; and Ismaila Mai Adamu as Director of Local Government and Mass Mobilisation.
Hon. Umaru Wakil was named Director of Logistics and Support Services, while Associate Professor Abubakar Kagu, will serve as Director of Planning and Strategy.
Hon. Ya Jalo Badama was appointed Director of Women Affairs, Baba Gana Modu (Bature) as Director of Youth Affairs/Support Groups, Zanna Ali Ibrahim as Director of Entertainment and Welfare, Ahmed Mustapha Goniri, as Director of Legal Services, Abubakar Baba Dada (Bosko) as Director of Voter Education, Dr Mohammed Lawan Gana as Director of Medical Services and Dr Adam Kachalla as Director of E-Campaign.
For media operations, Hon. Abdullahi Bego was appointed Director of Media, Communication and Publicity, with Prof. Sheriff Muhammad Ibrahim as Assistant Director of Media (Social Media) and Yusuf Ali as Assistant Director of Media (Digital Media).
Also appointed as Special Advisers to the campaign organisation are Alhaji Mohammed Abatcha Geidam, mni; Rt. Hon. Sidi Yakubu Karasuwa; Hon. Muh’d Walu Shettima; and Hon. Barma Shettima.
Comrade Dauda Mohammed Gombe will serve as Assistant Director of Planning, Dr Abdullahi Hasan Gana as Assistant Director of Logistics and Support Services, and Alhaji Baba Manu Girgir as Assistant Director of Youth Affairs.
According to the party, the broad composition is designed to strengthen grassroots mobilisation, youth and women’s engagement, and digital communication across the state’s 17 local government areas ahead of the 2027 polls.
