A junior brother in the family has stepped forward to publicly call out their eldest brother, accusing him of ingratitude and threatening to damage the family’s reputation despite GehGeh allegedly paying as much as N5 million to settle his hospital bill.
In a now-circulating statement, the junior brother did not mince words, saying:
“Brother what have you done for Gehgeh who is your Junior Brother, Gehgeh paid N5Million for your hospital bill and you are dragging him trying to spoil our Family name.”
The pointed callout has since gone viral online, with many Nigerians expressing shock at the revelation and siding firmly with GehGeh in this particular instance.
The development comes just days after GehGeh’s younger sister accused him of neglecting her and other siblings despite being wealthy, even claiming she was turned away by bouncers at his housewarming ceremony.
GehGeh, responding to the backlash on his Instagram page, stated: “I never get the kind of money wey fit raise family from poverty. I can only do my best and not my all.”
He also reportedly pushed back against the narrative of total abandonment, claiming to have bought the phone his sister currently uses and telling his siblings to go and get jobs and stop depending on him.
Now with the eldest brother being publicly dragged by a fellow sibling for allegedly biting the hand that fed him, public opinion appears to be shifting further in GehGeh’s favour.
The controversy has sparked fresh debate on social media about family responsibility and financial limits, touching on a common but often unspoken struggle what happens when one person “makes it” in a financially struggling family.
