Nigerian socialite and Davido’s logistics manager, Israel DMW, has praised former President Muhammadu Buhari over the conduct of the Edo State governorship election during his administration.
In a message directed at the former president, Israel DMW acknowledged Buhari’s role in overseeing the election, describing it as free and credible.
“General Buhari, you at least conducted a very free and credible election in Edo State while in power. What we later saw after you left was full impunity that has continually brought us public disgrace,” he said.
Israel DMW’s statement also criticised what he described as impunity following Buhari’s exit from office, suggesting that the situation had continued to damage Nigeria’s public image.
His remarks have drawn attention to discussions about electoral credibility and the conduct of elections in Edo State, as well as the importance of ensuring transparency and respect for the democratic process.
