Prominent Nigerian DJ Michael Babatunde Adeyinka also known as DJ Tunez has broken his silence following the physical altercation involving Grammy Award winner, Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, during the Easter celebrations.
eelive.ng earlier reported that Burna Boy and members of his entourage were reportedly seen confronting DJ Tunez. In the viral footage, the disc jockey, who wore a customised ’Number 1 ’ shirt, was seen on the floor during the incident.
Another clip further captures moments where he was allegedly struck, causing him to fall again before bystanders intervened to restore order.
Although the exact cause of the altercation remains unclear, social media users speculated that the clash may be rooted in long-standing industry rivalries, particularly DJ Tunez’s close affiliation with Wizkid.
Speaking after the clash, DJ Tunez addressed the incident, mocking the singer for throwing a weak punch.
In his words: “OGBAFIA NUMBER 1 don wake ooo! First off, you hit me at the back of my head when I wasn’t even looking, that’s some weak move, my boy.
“Burna Boy, all signs of weakness.
“It was one against ten, and I stood my ground. That’s why you got hit as well when I defended myself.”
