“Your Integrity Lies On This Case”- VDM Challenges AIG Moshood Jimoh Over Alleged Police Misconduct

Nigerian social commentator and activist VeryDarkMan has challenged the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) of Zone 2 Command, Lagos, Moshood Jimoh, over allegations surrounding the handling of a criminal case involving suspects accused of killing Sheriff Salami.

In a strongly worded statement, VeryDarkMan questioned the integrity of the police officer and dared him to take legal action if his claims were proven false.

“Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG Moshood Jimoh), you are a very corrupt guy,” VeryDarkMan stated, alleging that the police command should provide evidence to counter his claims.

The activist demanded that the authorities release the initial statements allegedly made by Bariga and Fabo when they were first arrested, claiming that the suspects had confessed to the killing of Sheriff Salami.

According to him, if the police can produce those statements and prove his allegations wrong, he is ready to face legal consequences for criminal defamation.

“If AIG can provide the statement of Bariga and Fabo the first time they were arrested where they both confessed to killing Sheriff Salami, if the Ikeja Police Command can provide these statements, I should be charged to court,” he said.

VeryDarkMan further argued that the matter raises broader concerns about Nigeria’s justice system, alleging that some innocent individuals could be wrongly implicated if police investigations are compromised.

He stated that the outcome of the case would serve as a test of the accountability and transparency of senior police officers.

“AIG Jimoh Moshood, your integrity as an Assistant Inspector General of Police lies on this case. Prove me wrong and charge me to court,” he added.
