Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, has taken to social media to call out Gboyega Oyetola, the former governor of Osun State, accusing him of political desperation.
The Grammy-nominated singer on Tuesday via the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter) launched a scathing attack on Oyetola, describing him as the “most desperate politician in the world”.
“The most desperate politician in the world is @GboyegaOyetola, very embarrassed,” he wrote.
In another post, Davido accused Oyetola, the current minister of marine and blue economy, of plotting trouble in the state, adding: “OYETOLA UR PLAN NO GO WORK”.

The singer spoke out as political tension grew in Osun State ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
The Accord Party claimed that thugs connected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) attacked the campaign office of Osun governor Ademola Adeleke and the party’s secretariat in Osogbo, the state capital.

Maxwell Mgbuden, the national chairman of Accord, said this was the second attack on the governor’s campaign office in two weeks.
Mgbuden said armed men allegedly fired shots at the building, breaking glass windows and damaging several offices, including the office of Victor Akande, who leads Accord in Osun.

He added that the attackers inscribed “Say no to automatic ticket” on the wall of the building, accusing the opposition party of attempting to destabilise the state.
Davido, in April 2026, was appointed by Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke as the Head of Youth Mobilisation for the Accord Party’s 2026 governorship campaign council.
The announcement, which surfaced on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, positions the “Fall” crooner to play a key role in mobilising young voters for his uncle’s re-election bid under the Accord Party platform.
