Nigerian Afrobeats star Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, better known as Zlatan, has revealed that he and his partner, Davita Lamai, are set to walk down the aisle.
The singer made the announcement through a video shared online while travelling with friends and colleagues to attend the wedding ceremony of businessman and music executive Soso Soberekon.
During the journey, singer Teni broke the news with excitement, telling those around them that Zlatan and Davita would soon celebrate their marriage.
“So Zlatan and his wonderful wife are going to be having their wedding,” Teni announced.
Davita also expressed her excitement by extending an invitation to everyone present, saying she would be happy to have them join the couple on their special day.
“I just want to extend an invite to everyone. I’d love to have you all there. It will be so nice to have everyone there,” she said.
Although the couple is yet to disclose details about the wedding date and location, the announcement received cheers and warm reactions from those who witnessed the moment.
The news comes months after reports surfaced suggesting that Zlatan and Davita had already gotten married secretly. However, the singer previously addressed the speculation, explaining that Davita was simply the mother of his child.
Despite his clarification, marriage rumours continued after the couple was spotted in family pictures wearing matching rings, while fans also observed that Davita had added the surname “Omoniyi” to her Instagram profile.
Following the latest revelation, fans and well-wishers have flooded social media with congratulatory messages, celebrating the couple as they prepare for their upcoming wedding.
