At least 13 people have been killed and 92 others injured in multiple shootings across the United States during Halloween weekend, as gun violence disrupted celebrations in several cities.
According to CNN, the shootings occurred between Friday, October 30, and Sunday, November 1, in different parts of the country, including California, Michigan, Alabama, Delaware, Texas, Florida and Mississippi.
The preliminary figures were compiled using reports from law enforcement agencies and data from the Gun Violence Archive.
One of the incidents occurred on Friday at a Spirit Halloween store in Fairfield, California, where a 31-year-old pregnant woman, identified by family members as Constance Hages, was killed and six others were wounded.
Police described the shooting as a targeted attack. Three of the injured victims were reported to be in critical condition.
Another shooting occurred at a Halloween store in Madison Heights, Michigan, where a 21-year-old man was killed on Friday.
In Birmingham, Alabama, one person died and eight others were wounded in a shooting near Legion Field following the annual Magic City Classic football game between Alabama State University and Alabama A&M University on Saturday night.
A 17-year-old boy was taken into custody in connection with the incident, according to Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin.
Delaware also recorded two shootings on Halloween night. One occurred at an outdoor party in Ellendale, where a 17-year-old girl was killed and eight others were wounded.
Another shooting near the University of Delaware in Newark left six people injured.
In Dallas, Texas, four people were killed and at least 15 others injured in three separate shootings in the Deep Ellum neighbourhood, a popular nightlife district.
Police said the shootings occurred within approximately one hour and 15 minutes, although investigators had yet to establish whether the incidents were connected.
Two people were also killed and 11 others injured in separate shootings at Halloween parties in Jacksonville, Florida, on Sunday.
Other incidents were reported in Bloomington, Illinois, where a 19-year-old woman was killed and seven others injured, and in Jackson, Mississippi, where two people died and four others were wounded at a nightclub hosting a costume party.
In Fayetteville, Arkansas, six people were taken to hospitals after a shooting in the city’s nightlife district. Police said an altercation preceded the incident.
The shootings occurred amid Halloween celebrations and other weekend gatherings, including university parties, football events and nightclub activities.
CNN said its preliminary tally was not exhaustive, while the Gun Violence Archive recorded nearly 400 mass shootings across the United States so far in 2026.
