Only six players are still being expected at the Super Falcons’ training camp in Casablanca, Morocco, as the defending champions intensify preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
More players arrived at the team’s base, Hotel Marriott, on Sunday, with 15 players taking part in the evening training session at the La Noria Club under the watch of head coach Justine Madugu and his assistants.
The BK Häcken of Sweden duo of Halimatu Ayinde and Joy Omewa arrived in Casablanca while the training session was ongoing, while the Pachuca Tuzas of Mexico pair of defender Osinachi Ohale and forward Chinwendu Ihezuo were also on their way to Morocco.
The Super Falcons have now entered the final phase of preparations for the continental tournament, with 19 of the 25 invited players already in camp ahead of their opening Group B match against Malawi on Tuesday, July 28.

Players who had earlier reported to camp include captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, defenders Shukurat Oladipo, Oluwatosin Demehin and Christy Ucheibe, midfielders Toni Payne and Jennifer Echegini, and forwards Asisat Oshoala, Francisca Ordega and Omorinsola Babajide.
The 19 players currently in camp are:
Goalkeepers: Chiamaka Nnadozie (Brighton & Hove Albion, England), Comfort Erhabor (Portsmouth Ladies, England), Fatima Oloko (Abia Angels).
Defenders: Osinachi Ohale (Pachuca Tuzas, Mexico), Shukurat Oladipo (AS Roma, Italy), Rofiat Imuran (London City Lionesses, England), Glory Ogbonna (FC Kiryat Gat, Israel), Oluwatosin Demehin (Galatasaray, Turkey), Sikiratu Isah (Bnot Netanya, Israel), Christy Ucheibe (SL Benfica, Portugal).
Midfielders: Rasheedat Ajibade (Paris Saint-Germain, France), Halimatu Ayinde (BK Häcken, Sweden), Toni Payne (Everton, England), Jennifer Echegini (Paris Saint-Germain, France).
Forwards: Asisat Oshoala (Al Hilal, Saudi Arabia), Joy Omewa (BK Häcken, Sweden), Francisca Ordega (Al Ittihad Ladies, Saudi Arabia), Omorinsola Babajide (AS Roma, Italy), Chinwendu Ihezuo (Pachuca Tuzas, Mexico).

Defender: Michelle Alozie (Olivia Wynn FC, United States).
Midfielder: Deborah Abiodun (Washington Spirit, United States).
Forwards: Gift Monday (Washington Spirit, United States), Esther Okoronkwo (AFC Toronto, Canada), Folashade Ijamilusi (Liaoning Shenyang Shenbei Hefeng, China), and Uchenna Kanu (Cruz Azul Femenil, Mexico).
Nigeria, record nine-time African champions, will begin their campaign against Malawi before facing Botswana and Algeria in Group B as they bid to successfully defend the WAFCON title and win a record-extending 10th continental crown.
