Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has said that Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, does not have the authority to speak on behalf of the entire South East region regarding support for President Bola Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
Otti stated that while Uzodinma is entitled to publicly endorse President Tinubu for re-election, his position should be regarded as a personal opinion and not the collective stance of South East governors or the people of the region.
The Abia governor stressed that every governor and political stakeholder has the constitutional right to make independent political decisions, adding that no individual should claim to represent the views of the entire region without broad consultation and consensus.
