Following the defection of Peter Obi from the African Democratic Congress, ADC, to the Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC, alongside Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the Obidient Movement said it is advancing to strengthen its collective efforts on the platform of the NDC.
In a statement signed by its National Director, Yunusa Tanko, the movement said the transition signifies the strategic need for national renewal, which requires a united, stable, and functional political platform through which the aspirations of the Nigerian populace can be effectively pursued.
“We urge all members of the Obidient Movement to proceed with their registration into the Nigerian Democratic Congress at their respective wards,” the statement said.
“To facilitate this process, a digital membership platform has been established to enable seamless registration for Nigerians both at home and abroad.
“As we embark on this journey, we remain guided by our shared vision of building a New Nigeria founded on accountability, competence, and service to the populace.
“This is not simply a political transition, but a continuation of our collective dedication to national transformation.
“Let us stay united, focused, and determined as we create a platform that genuinely reflects the will and aspirations of the Nigerian people.”
