2027: Uba Sani Picks KADIRS Boss Jerry Adams as Running Mate, Cites Merit and Integrity

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has nominated the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), Mr. Jerry Adams, as his running mate for the 2027 governorship election.

Announcing the decision, the governor described the nomination as a clear reflection of his administration’s commitment to inclusion, justice, fairness, and equitable representation across Kaduna State.

Governor Sani praised Adams as an accomplished public servant, seasoned institution builder, and respected tax administrator whose leadership has significantly strengthened the state’s internally generated revenue base.

The KADIRS chairman had earlier hinted at his growing political relevance during the Public Presentation of the Systems Review of Anti-Corruption Interventions in UBEC, NHIA, and NPHCDA held in Abuja on Tuesday, where he addressed stakeholders on governance and accountability.

According to the governor, Adams’ track record of competence, transparency, and integrity positions him as a strong partner in advancing the administration’s development agenda.

He emphasised that the choice was driven strictly by merit, character, and a shared vision for sustainable growth and good governance.

“This nomination underscores our determination to build a united, peaceful, and prosperous Kaduna State where every citizen has a genuine sense of belonging,” Sani stated.

Mr. Jerry Adams, who currently serves as the Executive Chairman of KADIRS, is now expected to join Governor Uba Sani on the ticket for the 2027 Kaduna State governorship race.
