PREMIUM TIMES previously reported that the UK authorities arrested Poco Lee in August and charged him with five sexual offences, including two counts of rape.

The dancer secured bail in September and later appeared in public alongside singer Burna Boy. Activist Martins “VeryDarkMan (VDM”) Otse shared a video of the pair on social media.
Poco Lee returned to Instagram with a series of photographs, marking his first post since 15 August.
The photos showed him eating and smiling while holding his phone and relaxing in an open setting that appeared to be outside Nigeria.
He captioned .. “ODINAKA” and apologised to his fans for his prolonged absence from social media.
.. has attracted more than 25,000 comments, with several entertainers and fans welcoming his return. Among those who reacted were Zlatan, Israel DMW, Lanre Alewilese, Phyno, Yhemo Lee, Cubana Chief Priest, Cute Abiola, Destiny Etiko, Kiekie, MC Edopikin, Kemity, Jigan, Rahman Jago, and Officer Woos.
Poco Lee has maintained that he was innocent of the offences he was charged with, saying his conviction of innocence helped him cope with his time in detention.
This newspaper reported that the dancer recently spoke publicly about the allegations, saying he was more concerned about the people around him than his personal circumstances.
He said he worried about how his detention affected his loved ones, particularly their well-being and businesses. He added that he tried to avoid placing additional pressure on them while he dealt with his situation.
Poco Lee also thanked Burna Boy, Rahman Jago, and others who stood by him during the difficult period.
However, he said some people were pleased to see him in trouble, adding that he did not believe he owed everyone an explanation.
Poco Lee’s release from detention has not ended the legal proceedings against him, this newspaper reported.
Snaresbrook Crown Court scheduled the plea and trial preparation hearing for 8 February 2027, when Poco Lee is expected to tell the court whether he pleads guilty or not guilty to the charges.
Although some of the dancer’s associates have claimed the complainant withdrew the case, the CPS has not confirmed the claim.
The prosecution service also did not explain the circumstances surrounding his release or disclose any conditions attached to it.
