A Nigerian lady has sparked a conversation online after calling for a ban on DNA tests, arguing that the practice is contributing to the breakdown of marriages.
In a statement shared online, the woman maintained that once a man is married to a woman, he should accept any child she brings into the marriage as his own, regardless of biological paternity.
She expressed concern that DNA tests have increasingly become a source of conflict between couples, particularly when the results raise questions about a child’s paternity.
According to her, the emphasis should be placed on the marital relationship and the responsibility of raising children rather than biological confirmation.
