Ayra Starr, a Grammy-nominated singer, has announced that her much-anticipated third album, ‘Starr Girl’, will come out in July.
The ”Rush” crooner shared the release date during a guest spot on The Jennifer Hudson Show, where she said the album marks a major step in her career, shaped by growth, purpose, and her strong dedication to her music.
“My album, ‘Starr Girl’ — that’s me, by the way — drops in July,” she said.
“I am so proud of this body of work. I put everything into it, and I can’t wait for the world to hear it.”
‘Starr Girl’ comes after her successful earlier projects, ’19 & Dangerous’ and ‘The Year I Turned 21’.

Born Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, she became famous in 2021 with her hit single ‘Bloody Samaritan’.
Music executive Don Jazzy discovered her, and she is now signed to Mavin Records. Starr has gained worldwide recognition, earning many awards and nominations.
At the 2025 MOBO Awards, Starr won ‘Best International Act’—becoming the first African woman to win the prize—and ‘Best African Music Act’.
She was also nominated for the 2026 Grammy Awards in the ‘Best African Music Performance’ category, but the award went to South Africa’s Tyla.
