Bieber opened with several tracks from his recent Grammy-nominated album Swag. Using a laptop on stage, the singer scrolled through old clips on YouTube, and sang along with his younger self, his early hits like “Baby”, “Sorry” and also performed Essence remix with Nigerian Afrobeats stars Tems and Wizkid.

Reports say Bieber was paid a record $10 million for the gig, the highest in Coachella history. The set also generated massive ticket demand, expensive resale prices nearing $4,000, and over $5 million in merchandise sales during weekend one alone.
