Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemates have been split into two teams ahead of their first official wager task, with the reality show’s organisers unveiling the week’s theme and debate challenge.
In an update shared on the show’s official X page on Sunday, the organisers announced that the 24 contestants have been grouped into two separate teams, with the female housemates making up one team and the male housemates forming the other.
The task marks the first major group challenge of the season, giving the newly introduced contestants an opportunity to showcase their creativity, teamwork and communication skills while competing for their first wager victory.
According to the organisers, the theme for the opening week is “Allow Me To Introduce Myself,” setting the stage for housemates to reveal more about their personalities and backgrounds.
As part of the week’s activities, both teams have been assigned a debate on the topic, “Nature versus Nurture: What Makes You Who You Are?”
The debate is expected to test the contestants’ public speaking abilities, critical thinking, teamwork and presentation skills as they battle to impress Big Brother and secure a successful outcome in their first wager.

“Update! The Show Ya Sef #BBNaija housemates have been split into two teams. One team made up of the ladies and the other team made up of the gentlemen,” the organisers wrote.
“The theme for this week is ‘Allow Me To Introduce Myself.’ As part of their wager task, the two teams will debate on the following topic: ‘Nature versus Nurture: What Makes You Who You Are?’”
The wager task is one of the most important weekly activities in the Big Brother Naija house, with successful performances often earning housemates rewards and privileges, while failure can lead to penalties and a more challenging week inside Biggie’s house.
Season 11 officially kicked off on Sunday with the unveiling of the first set of housemates, who will compete over the coming weeks for the record ₦160 million grand prize.
