Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has publicly expressed appreciation to award-winning Nigerian singer Teni ”the Entertainer” for her unwavering support during his recent injury layoff.
The Werder Bremen forward, currently on loan from Bayer Leverkusen, underwent knee surgery earlier this year after battling a persistent cartilage issue that sidelined him for months.
In a heartfelt post on his X account, Boniface highlighted Teni’s consistent care throughout his recovery.
“After my surgery, I know how many times Teni Entertainer call to check on me. Respect,” the 25-year-old wrote, accompanied by heart emojis.

Teni, whose real name is Teniola Apata, is known for her energetic Afrobeats hits and has built a reputation for genuine connections with fans and public figures alike.
Boniface’s recovery has shown positive signs, with the striker recently returning to training and edging closer to full fitness. The injury had forced him to play through pain earlier in the season, a period he once described as mentally challenging.
