Nigerian content creator Carter Efe has been declared winner of the Chaos in the Ring boxing event after defeating street-hop singer Portable in a three-round bout.
The event, which drew significant public attention, saw Portable make a dramatic entrance accompanied by masquerades and traditional elements. In contrast, Carter Efe entered the ring with a minimal entourage, relying on what he described as courage and determination.
Judges awarded the victory to Carter Efe at the end of the contest.
In his post-fight speech, he attributed his win to faith, stating, “I believe in God, not juju. I knew I’d win.” The remark has since generated widespread reactions across social media platforms.
As part of his winnings, Carter Efe reportedly received a cash prize of ₦50 million, said to be provided by businessman E-Money. Additional rewards include a visa to Germany facilitated by Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface, along with other undisclosed benefits.
The bout marks a notable crossover between entertainment and sports, further highlighting the growing trend of celebrity boxing events in Nigeria.
