Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has sparked discussions on social media after sharing a strongly worded message aimed at women who pursue other people’s husbands.
The actress shared the post on her Instagram page on Friday, July 31, 2026, while recording herself inside an aeroplane. Although she did not mention any individual by name, many of her followers interpreted the message as a possible reference to Judy Austin, considering Rita’s long-standing support for May Edochie.
Since the public attention surrounding Yul Edochie’s marriage to Judy Austin, Rita Edochie has openly shown her support for May and has frequently shared posts expressing her views about the situation.
In her latest message, the actress used a mixture of English and Pidgin to describe the experience of a woman who leaves her own path to pursue another woman’s husband, only to discover that the reality may not match the expectations.
She wrote:
“NA NONSENSE YOU SNȦTCHED OOOO. PERSON WEY YOU SNȦTCHED HIM THING GO SPAIN EAT BREAKFAST GO MOROCCO EAT LAUNCH AND YOU DEY HOUSE DEY PEEP AM.”
Rita further advised women to consider carefully what they are pursuing before making such decisions, noting that not every man in a relationship or marriage is as valuable as he may appear.
She added:
“BEFORE YOU GO ABOUT SNȦTCHING SOMEONE ELSE’S HUSBAND, PLEASE CHECK THE QUALITY OF WHAT YOU’RE SNȦTCHING FIRST! SOME HUSBANDS ARE SWEET, SOME ARE SIMPLY MEANT TO BE ENDURED AND NOW YOU DEY HOUSE DEY ENDURE.”
The actress also spoke about the importance of recognising the effort behind a man’s success, suggesting that some women may admire the lifestyle created through another woman’s sacrifices without understanding the story behind it.
According to her:
“SHE SAW THE EXOTIC MANSION NOT REALIZING IT WAS BUILT WITH THE SWEAT, SACRIFICE, AND YEARS OF ANOTHER WOMAN’S LABOUR. SHE THOUGHT THE MANSION WAS THE MAN’S MAGIC. SHE CARRIED THE MAN AND LEFT THE MAGIC BEHIND.”
Rita Edochie ended the post by warning that certain choices come with consequences, stating that there is no opportunity to reverse such decisions.
“THERE IS NO REFUND POLICY. NO EXCHANGE. NO RETURN TO SENDER,” she concluded.
She later wished her followers a happy weekend and mentioned “QUEEN MAY YUL EDOCHIE’S LONDON TRIP LOADING,” further showing her support for May Edochie.
