Afrobeats superstar Davido has shared a heartfelt reflection on his upbringing, revealing how losing his mother at a young age shaped his life and influenced the person he has become.
The award-winning singer spoke candidly about the impact both of his parents had on him, explaining that although his mother passed away early in his life, the values she instilled in him have remained with him.
According to Davido, the loss forced him to mature much earlier than most children. He also paid tribute to his father, describing him as a major source of inspiration and someone he continues to admire and learn from.
Reflecting on his late mother, the singer recalled her generous spirit and warm personality. He said she was known for hosting memorable parties and never hesitated to help people in need, even if it meant giving away her last possessions.
Davido added that his mother’s kindness taught him the importance of showing love and being generous to others, values he still strives to live by today.
He also expressed gratitude for the impact his music has had on fans around the world, revealing that many people have reached out to tell him how his songs have positively changed their lives in different ways.
