Wife of controversial Nigerian singer Portable, Bewaji, has spoken out against social media users who allegedly targeted her children.
Taking to her Instagram page, the mother of three explained that although she had remained silent about certain issues for a long time, motherhood would not allow her to keep quiet when her children are involved.
Bewaji stressed that some boundaries must be made clear, particularly when it comes to the treatment of her kids. According to her, anyone who chooses to bully, mock, or disrespect her child should not expect an argument or lengthy response from her.
Instead, she said such individuals would simply lose access to her space.
The mother of three further stated that she has no room for cruelty, especially when it is directed at a child. She also made it clear that protecting her son’s peace is something she would never compromise on.

“I’ve stayed quiet for a long time, but as a mother, I can’t stay silent when it comes to my kids.
Some boundaries only need to be stated once.
My son is one of them.
If you choose to bully, mock, or disrespect my child, don’t expect a response. Don’t expect an argument. Just understand that you will quietly lose access to this space.
I don’t entertain cruelty when it is directed at a child.
Protecting my son’s peace isn’t something I negotiate, explain, or apologise for. Choose your words wisely, because once that line is crossed, there won’t be a second chance.
Silence should never be mistaken for weakness. It simply means the decision has already been made.
If you think hurting a child makes you funny or relevant, I truly hope you find healing. My son has done nothing to deserve your words. From today, let this be the last time I address it”.
