A video circulating on social media reportedly shows Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew rolling on the floor during a church service, sparking widespread reactions online. The authenticity, timing, and context of the footage have not been independently verified, and claims linking the video to any alleged incident remain unconfirmed.
The renewed attention comes as Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew remains at the centre of a high-profile controversy involving a purported federal appointment. The Presidency has stated that the so-called Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, also referred to in some reports as the Presidential Economic Advisory Council, does not exist and that the appointment documents associated with him were forged.
In an official statement issued on July 1, 2026, the Presidency said security agencies had been asked to investigate allegations of impersonation, forgery, and related offences. Authorities also rejected claims that ₦400 million was paid to secure the position, describing the allegation as false and part of the matters under investigation.
Prince Adeyemi, however, has maintained that his appointment was genuine and has said the case is already before the court, where he expects to clear his name.
