Streams of Joy International, the church founded by Pastor Jerry Eze, has responded to a viral claim by a woman identified as Sandra Okpara, who alleged that she mistakenly transferred N1,640,200 to the church.
Okpara had said she intended to transfer money to her Zenith Bank account but accidentally sent the funds to the church after taking part in her religious activities, including making an offering.
The church, however, said it became aware of her claim through the video circulating online and had not received any prior complaint from her.
In a statement shared on X, Streams of Joy said, “We have become aware of this claim through the video circulating online. However, prior to its publication, we had not received any call, email, direct message or formal complaint from the individual regarding the alleged erroneous transfer.”
The church added that it routinely handles erroneous transactions through a verification process and asked Okpara to contact its official channels with the relevant transaction details.
It stated, “Streams of Joy routinely receives and resolves reports of erroneous transactions through the appropriate verification process. We therefore invite the individual to contact us directly via our official channels and provide the transaction details so the matter can be promptly investigated and resolved.”
The church further assured the public that it remains available to address genuine concerns.
“Our team remains available and committed to addressing all genuine concerns transparently and responsibly.”
