Social media commentator Daniel Regha has questioned Pastor Jerry Eze’s wife, Eno Eze, over her decision to lead prayers with her hair uncovered during the NSPPD UK Prayer Conference.
The conference, organised by Jerry Eze’s Streams of Joy International, was held at Old Trafford in Manchester on Saturday, September 26, 2026, and attracted thousands of worshippers.
Reacting to footage from the event, Regha questioned whether the Bible requires women to cover their heads while praying or prophesying.
He wrote:
“Pastor Jerry Eze’s wife went on stage during the NSPPD UK Prayer Conference to lead the people with her hair uncovered; Many women also in attendance were seen praying, worshipping, singing and dancing, without head coverings. Now correct me if I am wrong, doesn’t the bible speak on women covering their heads as Christians, during times of prayers and prophecy?
So how you hold a conference on “Prophetic Prayers” but not obey simple bible instructions. Especially as a Nigerian who knows that covering of the head is something that was taught back in the day.
My goodness.”
His comments have sparked debate online, with some users agreeing that women should cover their heads during prayer, while others argued that interpretations of the biblical passage differ.
One commenter cited 1 Corinthians 11:5-6, which discusses women praying or prophesying with their heads covered, while another argued that Eno Eze’s hair itself served as a covering.
Others questioned the relevance of the issue, with some social media users defending the preacher’s wife and criticising Regha for focusing on the practice.
