The family of late Nigerian singer Toluwanisings has insisted that he must be buried at his family home in Oyo State rather than in a cemetery.
A representative of the family, while addressing the press, warned that the family would exhume the singer’s remains if he were buried in a cemetery against their wishes.
The representative explained that the family had reached a decision to lay Toluwanisings to rest beside his late mother’s grave at their family compound.
Speaking on behalf of the family, the representative maintained that their decision was final and urged those handling the burial arrangements to respect their wishes.
“We have all decided in the family that Toluwanisings must not be buried in the cemetery; we will remove him from there. I am speaking on behalf of the family members.
“So don’t ever bury him there; if not, we will open the grave to remove him and bring him back home to bury beside his mother’s grave.
“If you say you can’t bury him in the house that he built, we don’t know your reasons, and we don’t even care to know; bring him home. He has a father’s compound; we will bury him beside his mother’s grave,” the representative said.
