Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, has said the Gunners made a mistake by allowing Leandro Trossard to leave the club.
The Premier League champions sold Trossard to Turkish Super Lig club, Besiktas, during the summer transfer window.
Mikel Arteta’s side then brought in Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge as a replacement for the Belgian international.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Merson described Trossard as a clever footballer.
“I wouldn’t have let Trossard go, in my opinion, I think he’s a good footballer,” Merson said.
“I think he’s a clever player and has played in the big games,” he added.
