EPL: Why I substituted Rashford in 2-2 draw with Everton – Carrick

Manchester United manager, Michael Carrick, has explained why he took Marcus Rashford off during their 2-2 draw with Everton on Sunday.

Carrick revealed that Rashford was “feeling a bit of something” in the second half of the Premier League clash.

The England forward was substituted in the 70th minute after producing a lively display.

When asked about Rashford’s substitution after the match, Carrick said, “Yeah, he was feeling a bit of something.

“Yeah, he’s done very well. As I said during the week, he’s done ever so well since he came back. I thought he looked really sharp again today and dangerous.

“That final little moment didn’t quite drop for him, but nevertheless, I thought he created really good opportunities, and there was a big threat throughout the game.”
