A Nigerian lady has sparked discussion online after sharing her experience at a Forex event, where she claimed she was advised to prioritise building an online image rather than concentrating on actual trading profits.
According to the lady, her experience left her questioning the credibility of some aspects of the Forex industry in Nigeria.
She alleged that several broker firms she encountered at the event encouraged her to present herself as a successful trader, even if the profits were not genuine, and focus more on becoming a Forex influencer.
Sharing her experience, she described Forex as one of the biggest scams in Nigeria, while recounting what she claimed she was told by the firms she met.
“Forex is the biggest sc@m in Nigeria. I went for a Forex event, and every broker firm I met told me not to focus on being profitable. Instead, I should fake profits and focus on being a forex influencer,” she said.
Her comments have since generated reactions, with some social media users debating the distinction between legitimate Forex trading and the misleading practices that can sometimes surround online trading promotion.
