Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving workers’ welfare, citing investments in salaries, pensions and workplace infrastructure.
Speaking while declaring open the 48th Meeting of the National Council on Establishments in Port Harcourt, Fubara said his administration had made significant investments in workers’ welfare, including “a minimum wage above the national benchmark, prompt payment of salaries, pensions, gratuities and bonuses, regular staff promotions and the ongoing remodelling of the State Secretariat into a modern, technology-driven workplace.”

The governor charged delegates to produce “practical, forward-looking recommendations” that would “strengthen public institutions, deepen professionalism, enhance transparency and improve productivity across Nigeria’s civil service.”
