An e-hailing driver has taken to social media to express his frustration over the rising cost of fuel and passengers who cancel their rides after drivers have already started heading to their pickup locations.
The driver, reacting to the current fuel situation, pointed out the reported price of petrol at some NNPC stations and highlighted how the development is affecting those who depend on driving for their livelihood.
He also called out passengers who request rides but cancel their trips while the driver is already on the way, saying such behaviour creates additional losses for drivers who have already spent fuel travelling to the pickup point.
Sharing his frustration, the driver wrote:
“Hope you all are seeing the price of fuel at NNPC stations. A litre is now ₦1,400. To all the unreasonable passengers who order a ride and then cancel the trip while the driver is already on the way, God will p¥nish you all.”
His complaint has drawn attention to the challenges faced by e-hailing drivers, particularly as fuel costs continue to influence transportation expenses.
