The Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has declared a total lockdown across Anambra State for this Saturday.
On Saturday 4th July, 2026, the lockdown is expected to be from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
According to the Governor, the temporary shutdown is to enforce a compulsory statewide sanitation and waste evacuation exercise.
In his announcement, he said, “It is important to note that the environment is our existential threat. We therefore urge all residents to fully comply and clear their surroundings”.
“Let us keep our state clean—see you all at 10 AM on Saturday!”
