“He Follows My Activities”- Sowore Reveals What Adeboye Told Him After RCCG Visit

African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has revealed that Pastor Enoch Adeboye prayed for him following a private meeting after the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) National Thanksgiving Service in Lagos.

Sowore disclosed that he met with the RCCG General Overseer after he was introduced to the congregation during the service held at the church’s headquarters in Ebute-Metta on Sunday.

According to the presidential candidate, Adeboye told him that he had been closely following his activities and described his political journey as honourable.

Sowore said, “After the service, I had a private meeting and conversation with the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who offered to pray for me.”

He added, “He stated that he follows my activities religiously, expressed certainty that my path is honorable, and said he is confident of my triumph.”

Sowore also addressed reactions from some supporters of Peter Obi who criticised his decision to attend the church service.

He claimed that the reception he received from members of the congregation was different from the response given when Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, were introduced.

The AAC candidate, however, clarified that his presence at the thanksgiving service was not aimed at advancing any political agenda.

His visit has since sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some users questioning the timing of the appearance while others commended him for attending the service.
