A businessman has cried out over the poor condition of a road in Kogi State after his goods, reportedly worth millions of naira, fell onto the road, leaving him worried about the potential losses.
In a video circulating online, the businessman lamented the challenges faced by traders who depend on loans to finance their businesses, explaining that incidents like this make it difficult for them to earn a profit.
Expressing his frustration, he said, “Look at my goods worth millions of naira falling on this road because of the poor condition of the expressway. Some of us business owners collect loans to run our businesses. How are we supposed to make a profit under these conditions?”
The businessman called on Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo to intervene and address the condition of the road, stressing the difficulties business owners face when transporting their goods under such circumstances.
His complaint has drawn attention to the concerns of traders who rely on road transportation to move their goods and sustain their businesses. For those operating with borrowed funds, unexpected losses can create additional financial pressure and make it harder to repay loans and keep their businesses running.
