Details have emerged on how Mustapha Abdullahi, the chief executive officer of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged money laundering.
The Witness gathered that Abdullahi was arrested in Abuja on Wednesday over the alleged fraud to the tune of more than N500 billion.
President Bola Tinubu appointed Mustapha Abdullahi as the director-general and chief executive officer of the commission in October 2023.
